Can anyone tell me if Altberg boots are acurate in there sizing , i.e. is a size 9 a size 9. Having recently sold a pair of Sidi's that where smaller than the marked size.

cheers

When I ordered my Clubman Classics from the factory some six years ago, I told them that my Karrimor KSB walking boots were a size 43 (=9) and that I'd like my Altbergs to be the same size. If anything, they're very slightly bigger than that.

They say on the website to add half a size if your feet are wide, I did that and they fitted perfectly, the most comfortable boots I've ever had :D

I got size 8's to fit my size 8 feet. They fit perfectly with thin to medium thick socks, which is what I wanted. If you want to wear thick socks I'd go a size up. Cracking boots, even walked the west Highland Way in mine!

If you could make it to the factory for a fitting, I would recommend it, when I went they said I had heel spurs  and altered the boots to fit, they are now more comfortable than a pair of slippers.
Only cost £12 for the alterations, no charge for the fitting.

Altberg sizing is very good I've had 7 pairs (three payed for by me and four issued). The standard sizes are quite narrow but you can get wide fitting for no extra cost.

Altbergs

I got Clubman Classics and they are great. Size 9 off the peg - very slightly large. Thick socks makes them comfortable!

I had an "off" with them on recently and I would definitely buy another pair. :thumb

Cheers Guys :thumb

I'll try and get down to the factory for a fitting, sounds like an excuse for a weekend away.
