Have enquired with Altberg re a thicker resole to help in reaching the ground. They offer a 10mm thicker sole option, but warn that it could effect gear changing. Anyone wearing Altbergs with this thicker sole and any problems changing cogs on the GSA?
Thanks

I have Daytona M Star boots. I had to alter the position on the year lever slightly on my GS to gain a little more clearance. Then no problems at all. Since the GSA and GS have the same engine and box you should have no problems.
They do help me as I am a short arse.

I have Daytona M Stars and didn't need to alter the position of the gear lever. They give some useful extra height. Mine is a GS not a GSA

For the Warwick Davis riders:D

I had some Altberg Hogg Ultra Lites with the extra lift in the sole. Had it taken out again as they were totally rigid and unwieldy (and they did look rather like the picture in rattler's post :D:D)

I rode 34,000 miles on my 1200 2010 GSA wearing Altberg Hogg Lights boots and still wear them on my new R1200RT SE LC.

Two amendments I made on the GSA.

1. Raised gear change lever a little to give more clearance with extra deep soles on Hoggs.

2. Fitted rubber inserts (from dealer) to the front GSA foot pegs - the Hogg soles with extra cleats sometimes dug into the all metal GSA foot pegs - made riding much better - see photos.

Regards,
Mike
