I use the clubmans for work and they are comfy, warmish & waterproof. I reckon these look just as good, if not better. Not the best looking boots in the world & not as much impact protection as some but none the less good kit & as you know they offer a very good refurb service.

Oooo new Altbergs! I have a pair of roadsters and Hogg all weathers.

Fantastic boots! :thumb2

Take a while to get them made and delivered but well worth it! Call them regarding sizeing, Mine are 1/2 a size larger than I normally would have and they fit perfect.

PS after havin a chat and sorted the size, order online, sign up for the e-members thingy and get 7.5% discount!

They will no doubt be excellent and I will seriously consider a pair when my existing Altbergs wear out in 10-15 years time. Agree with the above comments...personally, I wouldn't wear anything else...they are so comfortable and the driest boots I have ever had. If you can get down there for a fitting all the better.

15 years on and my Clubmans will not wear out, they are still 100% waterproof and great to walk around in when you get off the bike.
They've been used on the BM, on my Katana and for trail riding on the XR and never a problem.

Worth trying to see them for fitting.
My feet didn't suit, so they made them with bespoke higher insteps for an extra few quid. I have the last number for my next order- but 5 years on the current pair seem to have had little effect.

Has anyone got the Roadrunner boots yet and can give some feedback?

My second pair of BMW GoreTex boots have just started to leak, as usual just over two years old and out of warranty so wont be buying them again.

I have a pair of Altberg Field and Fell which are by far the best boots I have ever owned so fancy trying their bike boots. Plenty rave about the Clubman but I am interested in the new Roadrunner.

TIA

Not sure which model I have but Altberg as a whole are just very good indeed .. I returned my 10 year old pair for refurbishment 2 years ago .. new soles, liners and sticky bits, 5 week turn around all for about £70, like new... used most days for commute and work and they have NEVER leaked. I wouldn't waste my money on anything else !

altberg boots

had mine 12 years now me and the wife great boots take about 2 years to
where in
i had a bad rta in 2004 a taxi decided to do a u turn in front of me on the a1 just past alnwick northumberland there was a tiny mark on the boot
but i broke every bone in my foot a severe lisfranc fracture
with these boots being so ridged my foot had no where to go
maybe if i had race boots on they might have been more movement in the boot i will never know
but to this day i still where them
along with my limp

I was fancying a pair of their Continental tourers and had a run up to the factory last spring. The chap there, no idea of his name, but a really dry, funny bloke, showed me his latest creation and I left wearing a pair of Roadrunners.

10,000ish miles later and I'm very happy with them, very, very comfortable after 3 years in Alpinestars Tech3s and totally waterproof. They're a bit on the warm side for summer jaunts to sunnier climes but not as sweaty as the motocross boots though. And they're plenty warm enough on the couple of frosty mornings we've had so far this autumn.

I accept that they're not well armoured, but it's horses for courses. They'll do for me, especially if they're as durable as Altbergs are reputed to be.

I like 'em.

Took a run down last week and ordered a pair, estimated delivery mid January:beerjug:

I've got some Hoggs and love em, totally waterproof and ooohh so comfy, don't think I'll have anything else (previous were Daytona x 2 pairs) :thumb2
