Had my old Altberg Clubman boots for over 20 years and they are still giving good service but now need resoled, did buy a pair of Daytona boots about 4 years ago but to be honest I prefer the Altbergs because of the better grip from the soles
Anyway last week I had a drive down to Altberg to see what they had in stock and to drop off my old Clubmans to be resoled, on arrival I was looking at the boots and they had a set of size 9 1/2 Roadrunner boots on the shelf (normally £239.99) , the boots were marked as worn and were up for £60, looked at them and they were spotless no sign of wear on the soles or to the leather and immaculate.
The staff said they had been bought over the internet by someone who returned them as being the wrong size but had worn them outdoors , enough to slightly scrub the soles, because of this they could not be retailed as new so were being sold off cheap.
Perfect fit and they are superbly comfortable on the GSA
