Check out http://www.gps-garmin.nl/body_perfect_pilot.html#English ; a solution like the BMW navigator II, with an extra jog-dial button. Will be on the market by may this year. The picture is showing the prototype.

Optionally including wireless (bluetooth) sound.

Hans,

Interesting, I assume that you have a link with GPS.nl as you are in the same town. Or are you like, it seems, Pan and Garmin involved in Beta testing so have very good access to supplier information?

I assume the unit you show in the photo's are early production prototypes as they are very different to the earlier phots's on the sire. The site does not seem to give a lot of new information...

For the record:

1) Hans is not associated with Garmin.

2) I have no association with Hans.

3) The same functionality (less waterproofness) can be accomplished free of charge by putting some Velcro on the back of the 2610 or 2650 remote control, some Velcro on the back of the clutch fluid reservoir (or left handlebar cover), and just aiming the remote control at the infrared lens of the GPSR.

Hans runs the biggest Garmin shop in a little town in the Eastern part of Holland.

1) Hans is not associated with Garmin.
True, but being the biggest Garmin GPS dealer......

Don't know them but have read positive remarks. Only fear it is a little long ride from the UK.

Sorry, I didn't mean that he was not a dealer, I meant that he was not part of the beta testing and development team that I am part of.

- no, I am not associated with Garmin; Garmin was not involved in devellopment of this cradle
- yes, I am associated to gps.nl (but not running it)

Gps.nl is a GPS-dealer in The Netherlands, specialised in use of GPS on the motorbike. We developped the 'perfect cradle' primarily for our customers; asking ourselves how to make the 2610 perfect for on-bike use; using the experience with the SP-III.

We have now reached the final test-stage (currently testing bluetooth); the Perfect Cradle will be on Dutch market by may this year.
Currently we are considering to export the cradle to other countries; depending on the amount of interest for that.

Best regards,
Hans

Hi Mike,

Prices are not definate yet, but advised marketprice is expected to be e250 for the 'Red' and e450 for the Blue. Thus bringing the Perfect Pilot 'red' well below the BMW-navigator II, and the 'Blue' at approx the same level. (while the perfect cradle will hold all functions and the blue adds cordless sound).
Off course all depending on local prices for the 2610.

Regards,
Hans
