Hi guys (new here), I have obtained some 48mm KYB forks from a 2004 Yamaha YZ . . . and I'm planning on keeping the forks at full travel.

Can anyone suggest a nice looking front fender that will suit? I have heard that the stock beak will connect with the tyre on full fork compression.

I think I have seen a nice looking picture of a fender here somewhere, on Timolgra's bike?

Cheers

On full compression with 300mm of travel the tyre will hit the oem front fender which wouldn't be great, but not as bad as the engine/lower bars grounding out as you don't have the ground clearance you need for 300mm of travel. Ideally, get them shortened or put spacers in to reduce the travel. They'll need revalving and different springs anyway. Polisport do a universal motard fender which looks OK and is cheap to replace if you trash it. I used one before getting my forks sorted.

Cheers for the advice. I'm getting a raising link for the rear shock which should give me the clearance I need to prevent a ground out.

The forks are have been set up with new springs/valves and I should be doing the install sometime in the next week or two.

Thanks for the tip on the motard fender; have you got any pics of it on your bike?
