Hi Guys, I am after an Alternator Belt fitting tool, I guess that Rainbow can sell me one, but does anyone within striking distance of Selby have one they could lend me ? I would be very happy to rent the tool for a day, I know they cost around £70. I would also be happy to buy into ownership of said tool, best regards dp:clap

Dave,

I changed mine last weekend. No special tool.
Used a flat spanner to both turn the crank and hold the belt in place.

Good luck.........

Cheers Guys !

A 34mm combo spanner from Halfords, job took all of 60 seconds, many thanks gents. I've had the GS 16 months, done 26k miles, fitted the Accelerator Module ( brilliant) and am on third rear disc, but now have that issue sorted. Fun and safe miles to all, cheers :jager

Try a tyre leaver as you rotate the belt....... works fine and most guys have one in their tool box already.

You dont need a special tool for everything you know.......
