My Dakar is not running so good above 1500mtrs :(

I am away on holiday staying in Austria and have done a few mountain passes this week. Probably not much can do here at the moment as in fixing this problem. Though I thought that maybe a sensor has has packed in.
New Filters and oil before I set off a week ago a good spray of ACF50 on all electrics.

As I said not much I can do, just yours pointers as to what could be wrong, Going further east tomorrow (Malta) and The Grossglockner is on the way.

Hi folks,
I had the problem twice when I was in the Austrian alps. I'll put it down to fuel and the company I bought it from both times. Can it be so ... maybe I put in 91 and not 95 as it is widely available over there. I have receipts but not just to hand.

I'm writting this on a Belgian keyboard and it²s like learning a new language  Back to the UK tomorrow.

i highly doubt you will get 91 RON in Austria, it will be 95 and 98 thats commonly available. I dont know the 650, but from what you describe i assume it is carb and not fuel injection?

Hi swissrob.
It`s single spark 00` Dakar with fuel injection. It`s the fuel thing that was troubling me. But also on a ride from The Mosel valley upto Antwerp on Saturday I came to the junction and it cut out as I rolled off the throttle. It was very hard to keep it running when getting in the traffic at the round-a-bout. Then after a few minutes it was fine again just ticking over at 1500rpm at a stand-still, out of gear. No problems on my way upto the ferry at Dunkerque and all the way home on Sunday.

Misstified ... :(
