Just bought a pair cheap that were second hand and have a bit of gravel rash on them. Has anyone refurbed a set? Anyone got any tips?

Thanks

yep... rubbed the scratches out of them and had them powder coated

Wow, they look great, how much to get them powder coated mate? What did you use to get the scratches out too?

Well finally got round to rubbing them down and getting them powder coated from CAS coatings in Bradford, not bad for just 15 quid. Thanks for the tip degsey.

I have a good supplier for powder coating and find its little more costly than repainting stuff with rattle cans and its a lot more durable. A pair of alloy wheels cost me £50, plus another £28 for dipping to remove the original paint, but still a bargain TBH.

The snag is that if an area needs to be filled it cant be coated filled and coated over again. Electrically conductive fillers do exist, but they are expensive and have a short shelf life.
