Aluminium repair putty

Gents, recently my bike went over in the ice and landed on the engine bar, although the bar did its job, the lower bolt stressed the hole enough to break the edge off the threaded stub and a small part of fin, now I have straightened the bars back into shape but would quite like to put a bit of meatiness back to the casing so as there are a few on here who work with engines all the time, does someone have a recommendation for which type to use??
I have the part that snapped off so was going to "glue " it back into place and reinforce it .

Build it back up with (Ali) weld and grind flat and re-tap?

Or, if you don't have to remove too much thread, grind flat to the depth of the 'missing chip' and fit a washer/spacer?

Not sure 'glue' of any sort would be the best way to go.

Devcon aluminium epoxy putty will put it back together but I wouldn't trust it for anything structural. Another diy process would be lumiweld, it's a kind of aluminium soldering that you can do with a blowtorch. It should be pretty strong if done right. Ultimate and best is get it welded properly and it will be as good as if not better than new.
 
So the bit missing is just behind the front bottom bolt holding the bars here

It's just half the thread stub and a bit of fin, as mentioned its either gring back flat and insert a spacer or aliweld back on.

It's not like your bikes not going to run without it, so all I would do get a big washer to put over some metal weld just to hold it in place paint it silver and then forget about it as its not a problem.

Once forgotten about job done, me I'm missing the little black plastic bit that you unscrew to move the wind shield as it came off of the bolt but I'm not stressing about it as it can be lived without.

Get it welded as said above. Might be difficult getting in there but it would be the best solution.
I had one of the swinging arm lugs where the paddock stand bobbins screw into break on my tls. Had it welded with the bolt in place to keep the threads clear. It's been perfect ever since. If its strong enough to be able to still use my paddock stand I'm sure it'll be ok for your crash bar bolt.
 
Get it Tig welded. It will cost a bit but it will be as strong as it originally was. In my opinion JB weld would be a get out of trouble fix not a permanent one.
 
Putty is great for plugging holes in cylinder heads or cooling system but hopeless for that sort of job. It wouldnt last 2 mins. Will need welding with a tig.
