Sorry, brain fart on the posts, which it seems I can't remove

Indeed. My mates are all the same. Its like a Bike Magazine demo day when were all out. All sorts of bikes which is nice to see.

mind you he needs to get better coffeee in...
Awesome, I know if I could, I would.....so good luck to you. My mate has just divorced, he now has a BMW K16, BMW scoot (for commuting) a Harley fat bob, and has just taken delivery of a Ducati xDiavel.... we now refer to him as the 'dealership'mind you he needs to get better coffeee in...

Why the fuck are you even here then? Just to bag out the bikes?
What IS stupid is why muppets come into a forum just to talk shite in the first place

I didn't pay anywhere NEAR the original asking price... and I'll bet you don't! LOL
Morning
In excess of £20k wasn't spent with my BMW Dealer. I actually bought my new 2017 GSA Triple Black with Gear Shift Assist Pro and Keyless Start for £15,900 over a grand discount. So I didn't begrudge paying £80 for its 1st service (which was also discounted).
My hotel costs are for my 2 day Off Road Course as others on here have suggested it's knackering, so me and my mate are booked in for 4 days on an extended biking holiday/weekend.
When I do stuff, its rarely half hearted.
I bought a new Kawasaki ZZR1400 Performance Sport last year - free 1st service. A new Honda VFR1200 and a new Triumph 675R as well with free 1st service, oh and a Suzuki GSX600F with free 1st service. So, as a business owner I know the routine. Probably spent around £70k on bikes in last 5 years so its not a cheap hobby.
Maybe BMW caught me on a 'soft' day.
Anyways... Ducati Panigale 1299 next, or Yamaha MT10 SP...

Well honestly, in my experience, it isn't all its cracked up to be.
Buying new bikes is a lustful experience, but managing multiple bike insurance, tax, rogue dealers, depreciation at least £200 per month for each bike, envy and sarcastic comments from people, dread of leaving new stuff unnattended, running in periods, rip off sale prices, other riders trying to prove themselves better on 'alternative low cost machines' and just being dangerous around you, stupid Warranty claims, stupid parts failing, crap build quality etc. etc.
.... and when you're out on a nice sunny day, and your beady eyes are fixed on the exit to a fast sweeping corner... doesn't matter what you are on... so long as you're on it.
And I'll bet I do.....

and I am stuck with a trip in the car to family.... sometime life gust don't seem fair...
It sounds like you have a lot of sensible ways about living in Jersey. Enjoy every mile, ride safe.... Yep the bike I'm on today is an interesting one.
Yamaha FJR 1300 'Special'

Ignore all the bollox-tell me about the ZZR !! I've been tempted by one of these for a few years and always stop and look when I see one.Looks great in the Perf Sport spec.

One way ticket to Jail. Thats how I sum up the ZZR1400 Performance Sport.
Comfortable seat, pegs are high so leg room is tight. Long wheel base so won't chase down Super bikes in corners, but you can get you're knee down if you're not heavy handed with it. Very fast, my mate on his Panigale 1299 was flat out and couldn't catch me on the straights. Quickshifter helps.
Its a one trick pony in my opinion... bloody fast in a straight line, but also looks great doing it.
Would I have one again... probably yes..
You sold it then !
Wrong colour !!

Ha ha,sounds like me.
Got divorced AGAIN in 2015.Have spent a fair bit on bikes in last 2 years. In last 9 months I've bought a new MT10 (did 4000 miles in 5 weeks and sold it),Guzzi Audace,Husky 701SM and a KTM1290R (oh and a new Focus RS).
But I've also done 3 trips away totalling about 7000 miles
I'm lucky with insurance and tax over here-have a Rider policy which is about £170 and lets me have unlimited bikes and I don't even tell them when I buy or sell one and we have no road tax as it was abolished and added to petrol price a few years ago.
What is nice is when you do a long trip, like I just did on the KTM,you come home and don't want to ride it for a while, but you have a choice to jump on something entirely different in the garage !
Fuck it,your dead a long time !!
I've had three lots of surgery in last 14 months and off work now with surgery looming in July.
Right,I think I'll get up and go for a ride.
Live each day,you never know how many more you have.
Sod that-go take an underseat photo of your X-ADV !! And what exhaust you getting for it ?? We need to know.![]()

Two weeks wait for you Sir.
Ohh and don't be a prat!
