hi

my question is can i sell the front frame to a 53 plate 1150gsa.

i used to own the bike and the forks and frame were replaced by carole nash.
the bump slightly bent the forks and the insurance company changed the front frame as a matter of course.

it is frame number stamped so i would have to remove or XXXXXX out.
so is it worth anything ? am i allowed to sell it ??
would anyone want it ?

if not i'll smash it and scrap it as a safe bet.

the bike and all its paperwork has moved on.

No problem if you want to sell the frame.

But do not remove the vin numbers, do as you've suggested and xxxxxxxx them out or just punch a line through each one with a small chisel, so you can still read it but not use them.

cheers for the advice Steptoe, i'll do as you suggest any idea as to value ?

are they a sort after item ?

There was someone on here looking for a frame for a Rockster - don't suppose they're the same :nenau

RT,GS ,R ,Rockster are all the same.
The RS frame is different, it has an ridge along the top section, but i don't think it would stop you using one of the other frames.

ythank you to all.

looks like its all a bit complicated, but if its all above board i don't mind helping someone out if mines ok, my bump was a glancing blow that twisted the front end rather than a full head on. the engine was fine etc.

lets see if anyone thinks it worth their while leaving the numbers on etc as steptoe suggests.
