Got myself another XCH, i sold mine last year to Ferret, it seemed the right thing to do at the time, but when i watched Ferret driving away with it on his trailer, i knew straight away that i had done the wrong thing.

I had been looking for the right bike, i wanted one that was as standard as poss` perhaps with a few nice extras on it, but also one that had seen little off road use, and had led an easy life as i could find, i am going to keep this for a while. There are/were a couple on this forum but they just weren`t what i was looking for.

So fast forward to yesterday, i went down to Berkshire, left home at 04.00 was at the guys house at 07.30 as arranged, after a bit of haggling i am now the proud owner of my 2nd XCH. I rang Steve at FB tyres on my way back up just to enquire the price of a set of MT21s, the bike was still fitted with the Saharas which were about half worn, and he had a set in, so by 14.00 i was back home having stopped in at Sandbach to have the tyres fitted.

It was like groundhog day yesterday afternoon, ordering handlebar risers, gear levers etc, that i had already ordered last time for my other one. Hurry up Mr Postman.

Mrs Dibbley and i were unsure where to go for our jollidays, we were thinking Tuscany or Austria (not on the GS, a package holiday), but we couldn`t decide. We usually go to the Manx for two weeks, but fancied something different, guess where we are going? Isle of Man to the Manx for two weeks!
Guess what will be on the trailer? XCH! two weeks trail riding awaits, hurrah.
So if you see a white XCH, rider with a black helmet, give me a wave, we seem to end up going to the cafe on the harbour wall at Peel for nice coffee everyday.

The ferry doesn`t get any cheaper though, £480 car and trailer, cheap or what!

Good move I reckon.:thumb

I keep considering buying another as a spare in case I totally trash mine. I reckon in the not to distant future the XC will be sought after and hard to find a decent one.

You're a bad man Mr. Dibley, you got me thinking about my old bike......now I want a 1150 GS :D

I blame you totally Sir :augie

Good luck with your new steed! Great bikes they are, no doubt I will regret selling mine, but new projects mean change.
