Am I the first to get their 2016 stuck in the mud?

Picked it up this morning, and first stop was obviously http://www.adventurebikeshop.co.uk/ for farkles, then couldn't resist a cheeky little lane on the way home.

It'd been pissing it down all day though and I got totally stuck (look, Ma! No kick stand!) about 200m in. Much grunting and sweating later, I made it out.

Adore the bike: I've finally got my dream machine!

Not to worry though, I still made it to Starbucks.

I got my 2016 stuck in an abandoned rabbit warren that collapsed when I ventured 20 metres off the road lol. Had to wait for someone to stop and help me get it out as the wheel was wedged and full lock right.

I'm seriously impresssed! Brand spanking new mud plugger tyres and you get it stuck right off the bat - class!

I see that you bought it from Balderston - one of the best dealers :)

They're the TKC80s. Out of the dealer you choose either those or Karoo 3s, and I wanted something a bit more dirt friendly. Had some butt clenching moments on the twisties mind you!

Thats why I was asking just fitted Anakee Wilds on my 65 GSA takes some getting used to the moving around just have to change the way we ride

Oh nice! Those Wilds look really nice. Have you had the TKCs to compare them to? Seem like they'd be nicer on the road.

Respect, Young Linssen. That is what the bike is made for, I am sure you two are going to be very happy together.

Enjoy

First 50/50 tyre used on this Bike fitted them for big trip to Scotland in April but did try them off road on Sunday well impressed, but definitely need to slow down on road also hoping they are alright in the wet

Well done Will. I thought that I recognised that face. Will come out with you on the R1150GS some time.

Be great to learn a few more Herts lanes, so I'll hold you to that. Will hopefully arrange an intro rideout with SBW when the weather's nice. Maybe encourage some more folks to try the dirt.

Great stuff! i went up a muddy track, with the anakee 3's are realised that was pretty silly once i was on it. Only one leg really works are there wasn't really any grip!! Fitting some Anakee Wild tyres in the next month or so when the rear wears out and will find some lanes to try with a couple of other riders, so at least we can pick the behemoth up once its on the floor.

You crazy fool, don't you realise they are the far inferior replacement for the (insert ancient relic of choice here) and should never venture off Tarmac?

Slippery mud is a bitch though, isn't it. :D
