Am I the only one who loves the transmission?

My late 2013 Gs Lc is great.
Wouldn't want it changing..
Also my dealer fit Quickshift works ok 99% of the time.. (subject to rider control with the throttle & gear lever operation)
Must be said however it took the dealer a few attempts to load the correct software to enable it initially tho ( that was a couple of years ago now tho, all in the past)

Not everyone read the bulletin telling techs to fill to 3.9 rather that 4.1.

I fill at 3.7-3.8 because you never really get to fully drain a bike. These bikes never burn oil and it will run quite happily on even less.

Find me on Facebook: MotoTed & MotoRevive.

Never had any problems on my 2013 LC!
Clunked into first but after that I never had to give it any thought, it just worked both up and down the box.

Probably the most exciting of all the LC's, with its light crank and less strangled emissions it would spin up quick, and it had a right crack to its exhaust note, exciting steering too before the damper was fitted. I have fond memories of mine!
That said, I've enjoyed the refinements of each model, and I wouldn't swop back from my E4.
But that early GS was exciting bike!

Love the agricultural gearbox on the GS, so much part of the character of the bike. Currently running 2 LCs one with GAP one without.
Can't pick a favourite

Just about to try a 2017 bike as Marshalls have offered me a pretty good deal on a P/x.. I'm very reluctant to let my light flywheel go as others I've demo'd feel quite slow in comparison.
I'm also quite surprised & reasonably impressed that they are competitive at last..

Marshalls are extremely competitive with their deals now. The new-ish manager Dean is a great lad, I suppose that you are aware that they lost their new salesman Goffie a week ago today. He hit a car riding home from Marshalls after work and was found dead at the scene. Bloody nice bloke, life can be so cruel, he'd been so looking forward to his new post selling BMW bikes in Grimsby instead of BMW cars in Scunthorpe.
Dean sold me my E4 T/Black in September and the deal was enormously better than Pidcocks offered despite them having sold me my previous two LC's

Phil please feel free to have a test ride over to my place if you have time, I'm only half an hour away from Marshalls, we can have a coffee and exchange notes.
The early bike was an exciting teenager but the new bike is now an experienced grown-up.

The new bike is lovely, it's the one to own ! :thumb2
