My Zumo 400 died recently - just would not respond to anything.

So I phoned them and arranged to pay the out of warranty fee for a refurbished unit.

I sent it back to then on Wednesday.

On Friday a replacement arrived :thumb2

That's good service.......

That's not where it ended though....

I sent back just my GPS and not all the bits. They sent back a full kit:thumb2

I sent them a 400 and they sent me back a 550:bounce1:bounce1

Can quite agree.

Sent my Zumo 400 back on Friday- it would not power on at all or reset. A courier has delivered a new unit today- and upgraded it to a 550 to boot.

I didn't get the full mounting kit but didn't need that- got one already. One thing I did get on the unit is CN NT 2009- my old unit had CN NT 2008, so I have also got a free map upgrade also.

Have tried to register the unit but the website says the unit is already registered with Garmin- sure a phone call tomorrow will sort that one.

Next question- will I have to have CN 2009 installed / linked to mapsource to be able to create routes and upload them to my new 550? If so, will I need Garmin to send me a 2009 DVD and unlock it using the unlock code linked to my new 550??
