American riders; are they different?

Thanks but no apology necessary, there's nothing that some here in the US could do that would surprise me. Geography..... surely you couldn't be referring to WV?
No, I love the Blue Ridge Mountains and partied many moons ago in Morgantown!
I was actually referring to American’s atrocious knowledge of world wide geography. Some in Phoenix think Scotland is an ancient country (Brave Heart) that no longer exists! One thought Scotland was next to Switzerland and Sweden cause started with “S” - like the world is alphebatized for America’s convenience?! Lol
Many don’t even know where Canada is!
Few of my work colleagues even had a passport ffs!!
I won’t go on 😬

He is one of the worse doom sayers on YT on HD engines. Has a very busy workshop though.

You really have no understanding of mechanical things do you? He’s hardly a “doom sayer” just has a huge amount of experience and engineering experience. Telling about the weaknesses of a standard Harley is straight talking. You did see the photos of the standard factory compensator on the low mileage M8. That’s been my general experience of them. A necessary evil when you’ve got a big displacement v twin but shockingly poor material. You may also follow his talk about sumping, oil carry over, carbon build up, crank runout/scissoring etc. is that “doom saying” or telling of the experience of working on and pulling down hundreds of engines?
Let me know what you find when you start working on your own motors?

……….we also have our share of loctite/ air gun monkeys here in UK too. Which is why I fix or fuck up my own bikes 😬

Is it something I should think about replacing Doris ?

Here’s one of those “dreadful” US mechanics explaining the reasons behind the compensators…

I do watch his videos periodically, he knows his onions. This chap is good too.......

And here was me thinking you were dissing him?! 🤣
Sarcasm is lost on Americans and Scottish thickos! 😬

Small world, Morgantown's just down the road and where I grew up and retired from.
It was easier for us to understand when there was just one European country, EU.

My ex father in-law was a massive Michigan (football) fan and we there to watch a game. Crazy town, with crazier fans. They were burning all kinds of stuff in the streets. This was 25 years ago. Probably more civilised now I assume.
