Hello all,
I have the BMW low seat on my GSA which I retained after trading in my standard GS a few months back. The low seat has taken a bit of wear and tear over the last couple of years and had a small split in it so I decided to have it re-covered.
Found a company on the tinternet called Outback Motorcycle Saddles based near Worcester who said they could do it for me. I poppped up to see them last week and they were absolutely great.
I had them reduce the existing foam seat down by about half which lost about 10mm of height so I can now get my feet pretty much flat down and they covered the saddle in good quality leather. They have done a really great job and I don't find the lack of padding makes any difference to comfort (I prefer a harder saddle anyway).
The whole job was done while I waited (about 4 hours with copious cups of tea and a massive bacon butty) and cost less than the price of a new low seat from BMW.
Will try and post some pictures up if I can gat the hang of it.
