Well here I am.
I have joined my first ever forum and spent the better part of 12 Hrs reading all the threads and clicking on some cool links that have been posted.
I have recently purchased my very own R1200GS. I have one word to describe it "WOW THIS IS A GREAT BIKE!!!". Ok maybe more than one word. I have been a sports bike rider for 5 years and a dirt bike rider for 2. Now I have the best of both worlds really. I have been all over the place and have wished that I could have ridden on and off road, now I can. I supposed that our good friends Ewan and Charlie may have influenced me abit, but really I just enjoy the feel and easiness of the whole bike. No more aching wrists or back after 1 hour and I can finally pack more than the bare minimal when on a road trip. So now what.... I suppose I could buy all the typical kit that we as GS riders are supposed to wear...... but I wont, I think I will just order half of the TT catalogue, cause they have some damn good kit.
Anyway I look forward to my adventures to come and being part of the new not so "olds mans bike club".
