Just about convinced myself of all the reasons why I should jump ship from GSA to KTMA...maybe the 2011 Dakar with the extra horses! My question to you esteemed brethren...has anybody fitted or tried one of these http://www.adventure-spec.com/shop/...ne-advtank-ims-clarke-touratech/prod_222.html If so what single pipe and can did you use and with what results?

Or maybe I've missed an existing thread some where...

Cheers :thumb

Not had one myself but Advrider raves about them. Akrapovic are the exhaust of choice for these.

cheers

The 950/990 has a fairly decent range as standard, although not as good as a GS. My 990 used to manage about 140 to the fuel light and my current 950 a little more due to a slightly larger fuel capacity. So unless your planning to go somewhere remote or exotic I can't see the point in fitting one of these.

They seem to be popular on Adv Rider (Orange Crush) with many American and Australian off roaders who venture into remote areas.

PS And if your worrying about fuel consumption and range on these bikes and only ride in Western Europe your kinda missing the point of the big Katoom.

+1 agree with all of the above, had both bikes also......save your money to get the fueling right.........

I have a single pipe conversion on mine, Akro and Adv spec link pipe. Put a tool tube it the space on the LHS. I looked at these but dismissed the idea, looks strange and there aren't many places in the UK or further a field (except France on a Sunday :D and Morroco etc) that you would need one.

BTW my mates got an extra fuel system Koplin, that fits on top of the rear rack, (KTM adv) you just stack 2 or 3 fuel cells on and screw it down.

used in Morroco to good effect
