Hi all,

Thought I'd share my recent but brief time with the Anakee Adventure tyres.

Had a set fitted at Bahnstormers and on the ride home once I hit 70mph there was a noticeable vibration coming up through the bars. I took bike back and they rechecked the balancing and test rode my bike but thought it was ok. I was not so sure but I said I would see how I go.

Well I went up to 85mph and the vibration was so bad that you couldn't see out of the mirrors so this was not acceptable.

Bahnstormers were very good and took the tyres back as they would use them and I went back to the Anakee 3's and the bike is silky smooth again

The tech said they are having a lot of issues with the Anakee Adventure tyres with vibrations caused by harmonics due to the tread pattern. Strange as they are fitted to the new 1250 GS's but I guess they were not suited to my 2016 GSA :nenau

Anyway I'm happy it's all sorted but if you are having similar issues it could be ya tyres.

Was it constant or was there a "beat" to it?? (metronomic)

It was a high rate resonance that you could see and feel in the bars. Was not noticeable below 65mph but as the speed increased it got worse to a point that the mirrors vibrated so bad you couldn't see out of them.

It was constant when above 65mph.

I have the Adventures on my 1250GS as they were fitted as standard. So far in 1500 mixed miles I have found no problems with them, certainly no noise or vibration at any speeds. Grip seems OK as well although I have not yet ridden in very heavy rain but light rain/damp roads seem fine.
