This month's Bike magazine pits the KTM 890R against the MV Brutale 800RR SCS, Triumph's Street Triple RS and Yamaha's MT-09 SP. And the winner is......

I won't spoil it for you in case you want to read it yourself, but t's an interesting choice.

Tricky choice but for me it’d be between the KTM and the Triumph because riding bikes is about fun far more than price and value.

The other thing is that I had far fewer problems in the two years I owned each of my 1190 and 1290 KTMs than I had in the first year alone of owning the most recent Yamaha I bought new.

THE YAMAHA, ON PRICE AND VALUE

Do you drive a Dacia Sandero ?

Meanwhile the winner will be the 890R.
Not seen the mag yet but it’s a no brainer.

MV is over priced . Triumph suspension will be too firm . KTM will blow them out of the water .

The Brutale is, to me anyway, simply lovely

Stop being a pedantic.
I’ve now seen the test and the winner was the 890R.

Yes, the writer goes on to say that the 790 has 90% of the ability of the 890 for much less dosh.

But you can’t have a winner of a 4 bike group test if it’s not actually taking part in the test !!

Would the fact that he posted this in the KTM section be a giveaway??

Price and value.... brilliant :comfort

Still a very interesting conclusion - and a lesson for all of us
