Andes & Altiplano tour

Kust manged to look at the photos on my wide screen at the office! Amazing, brings back a lot of memories for me in the Atacama and Northern Chile. Only went across the border once to Tacna which in the day was a bit of a shithole but everything was a cheap as chips.
When we went south to the Torres del Paine National park the rangers would put out old Llama carcases to attract the Condors in. It was stopped after a while because it was deemed to be not good for them and just for the tourists.....
That Pisco looks amazing and exactly as it should be.
Look forward to more mazing photos from a fantastic area of our planet!

It was a very pleasant 18C at 8.30am this Wednesday morning to ride the 275kms on Route 36B to Puno on the shore of Lake Titicaca but it wasn't to last.

After about 40kms we topped up with fuel as there would be none available until we reached Puno. We had been climbing a bit up until the fuel stop but then we got back to the real heights again.

There was a lot of snow at the roadside and in places only one lane was open because of the accumulations of snow. Great care was needed too anywhere that water ran across the road as in many cases it was frozen.

On we went towards Puno until we came across the Géiser de Puente Bello. The colours of the water and the landscape are absolutely incredible.
