Android question re text message display

I gave my iPhone to my lad and thought I'd try an LG Nexus 4 running Android something or other version. It'll take an lot to convince me not to get an iPhone 5 anytime soon......

Anyway, specific question re SMS message display. All of a sudden new messages have started appearing at the bottom of the list instead of the top. I've tried playing around with the settings with no luck.

Any ideas how I get it back to how it was?

Try the menu button (three dots in a vertical line on my HTC) from the list of "all messages", then choose "sort" from the list of options and pick "Date (most recent)".

Menu system might be different on yours though.

Thanks. Different menu by the looks of it. Can't find sort anywhere in mine.

This might help. Don't have time to read it all but I Googled "LG Nexus 4 contacts sort order" and it came up...


...I should have Googled "SMS display sort order", or something similar. Sorry, time is my master this morning.
