I have a 1999 and a 2000 1150GS, one of them leans way over at an angle on the sidestand compared to the other. I imagine due to the length of the sidestand. However without taking a ruler out (I am not near the bikes presently) the stands look the same length. One bike seems much higher than the other. Is there a setting, other than the rear shock setting knob, to reduce the height of the bike?

Common problem.
You could try replacing the sidestand pivot pin,or fit a GSA sidestand (they're a bit longer),or fit an extension to the stand.
This is probably easiest but it does make the bike look like it's got a club-foot.

Must be Ian Drury .....what a guy ;)

You could always try a Hockey puck, - couple of quid for a pair , from Crazy Kenny's -had mine on for a year or so now, and has been the best little mod I've done to my 1150 GSA ...I can fill up to the brim, and still get it off the side stand with no problems. Angle of lean much reduced.
Before I fitted the puck, it was almost impossible to get off side stand with a full tank, and I'm no shortie ( no fatty either :P)....!
