Hi all

Planning a weekend in Anglesey 18th-20th July. I have downloaded a GPX route that seems to follow the coast but more than willing to edit it.

Anyone got any suggestions to include? Haven't booked any accommodation yet so happy to receive suggestions on that. Would prefer hotels or Airbnb etc, going 2 up without panniers (havn't bought any yet) so wont have much space for kit. Camping will happen soon. I also plan to make the journey from the Midlands to Anglesey part of the trip too. Will have to be via Bala (SWMBO's favourite pitstop).

This is a trial trip for Mrs Onion, will be her first long trip as pillion so need to avoid gravel paths and sand dunes ;-)

Any input appreciated

Thanks :-)

South Stack Lighthouse for puffins, seals and things.
A great place to eat at, over looking the lighthouse, bikes parking (by pay machine yellow box) go on to the island on the new bridge and come off the island on the old bridge. ENJOY.

Visit Parys mountain. Free to visit, leave about an hour to walk around the quarry. Its used for film sets and sci fi productions. Fantastic colours. Probably best linked in with a trip to Amlwch port, again probably only 30 mins to stroll around and 10 mins from Parys mountain.

Stopped here for food/drink a few years ago - was very good & lovely views - back in 2016 tho

was at Gazelle this past half term. Great location, frozen fish and chips. Avoid. Go for something that must be made on premises, ala steak and ale pie or similar. Oyster catcher near rhos neigr good for food. Treadur Bay is a must. Valley for incoming air flights and training jets. Go to Trac Mon for bike and car racing. Excellent and easy walking viewpoints. My sister in law has a farm and caravans and cottages to hire, including hot tubs etc. Horses, ducks, dogs etc. Great local knowledge. Located outside llangefni, very accommodating. DM me for a phone number.
