Angola, its not like they say !

Just sat and read ...

... the whole thing. Addictive stuff and VERY well written :bow

The one thing for sure, is that had they been on big GSs they'd have been stuffed, I doubt they could've ridden out of the Doodsakker:eek:

Very good story..

Reading it as when I find time.. top story and what an achievment and i am only about half way through..

Now that's what I call and Adventure Brilliant write up :thumb2

Great Thread but it is a bit tedious having to sort through the pages of other peoples comments. Would be good if there was some way of reading just the ride report itself. I was a bit surprised at the bit about not being a place to get stuff stolen. I know someone who spent a year near the Angolan border in Namibia and witnessed on many occasions incidents whereby Angolans came across the border and killed people in their huts for simple things like a suitcase or bicycle. Still I guess the countries have moved on a bit since then( mid 1990's) which is good news.

The Merkins can be a bit effusive can't they :D

PS there is.......click on the geezer's name then select 'find all posts by' him......it'll bring up everything he's posted and you can just read those.

He's already made sure that his posts on that particular report are in orange though, so it's not that bad :)

Excellent read, ta for the linky to that :thumb2

Great read :thumb2

I've worked there for a while some time ago and I must say that its my favourite place where I would like to return to some day! Hopefully on a bike

Now thats a proper trip
I found myself reading the bit about the Doodsakker faster praying they'd make it :thumb2

Wouldn't it be good if someone produced a book with all the good trip reports in it I'd definately by one.

Hell I just had that same very thought!

Anyway, it's nice to see our own Tim on the trip, even if since he has let his hair grow a little longer...
