Annual Service Question?

OK, i know about the 6k servicing, but what about the in between service (the yearly one) is this compulsory or dependant on me doing over a certain number of miles a year?

BMW would no doubt tell you it is compulsory, regardless of mileage. But you can amuse yourself by looking here at the schedules for the annual, 6k and 12k services.
