Another day , another challange

The gauge is faulty - ignore it or fix it
What MPG are you getting, don't assume and post about it - brim it, zero it, ride it, brim it, read it, do the maths

Plan on using the trip for your gauge, tips:
If the above maths show less than 45 MPG something is up or you are shite at maths
Normal is 47-53 outside of this you are either an exceptional fast rider, an old duffer or a cack handed fool
GS's drink the most when at high speed cruising an awful lot if that's 90+

That made me smile :)

Brimming zeroing and riding is my next plan ...

yes i'm cack at maths and an old duffer ...

do like a bit of speed though, but nowhere near the 90+ lol

its mainly low speed 10-30 or 50-60

not much in between

Keeping below 60mph should easily get 50mpg. However these bikes handle much better than anything else I've used so I'm often moving quicker than I expected.

Download Fuelio or some such for your phone.. Then when you forget to zero the trip at least you have a record of your mileage at last full up.. I have it set to tell me miles per litre makes the maths easier

Makes sense because when you take the instruments off or disconnect the battery all stored trip data is lost.
This was why I fitted the sliding float sensor.
