:bowYet again the boys in green have come true with a great game and win over our kilt wearing cousins:clap:clap

there will be lots of :beer::beer: tonight and a fair bit of:blagblah:blagblah about the chances of a grand slam

did ya see springer run and how about O driscolls tackle at the end of the first half:clap:clap

" may not have been great rugby but it was winning rugby " I quote from RTE. They worked so hard, and played so much better in the second half. Tempo went through the roof. Delighted to see stringer :bow back were he belongs and boy what a captain.:bow:bow My nerves be gone all the week over this :bounce1. Just checked out flights to Cardiff wth air fungus E556 each return. :eek: guess I be watching at home. :tears
on the up side though :JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB:JB

Agreed.... better but still not great, better than England will manage though.... probably :(

All of the Six Nations team are going to struggle against the southern hemisphere though on the current showings! :eek:

Peter Stringer was a well deserved Man of the Match. He always lights up the Irish team and he proved a point today about his running game :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

As for Paul O'Connell he's the best all rounder there is:thumb:thumb:thumb

Glad to see Ronan O'Gara back on form today although not greatly challenged with difficult kicking positions.:thumb:thumb:thumb

Great last five minutes to the first half and good controlling game in the second half but they'll have to turn up at minute one against the Welsh who have a point to prove.

Don't mention the Grand Slam for goodness sake:aidan:aidan:aidan

Same feeling, different sport :D

Stringer should be the first name on the team sheet all the time IMHO, Keeps the team on their toes with quick dispersal.

Back to basics

"....Peter Stringer was a well deserved Man of the Match. He always lights up the Irish team and he proved a point today about his running game ...." This chap plays in the way that I was taught -over sixty years ago! Pick the ball up on the side away from your fly half and deliver it to him in one movement. Perhaps it was more important in those days when wing forwards were not required to bind, but you could see yesterday the way the backs got moving so quickly as a result of his efforts.
However there is no doubt that if the sin bin was reserved for intentional or malicious offences only, England would have shown by now that they are the strongest side in the six nations;;
