After seeing so many bikes with their lights converted to HID, I decided to jump on the band wagon. I converted the low and high beams with HID's supplied by Les Wassall and fitted by Thunder (I'm not the best when it comes to scary electric stuff). I used Les's internal mounting plates which hide themselves neatly under the side panels on each side to mount the ballasts. The difference is amazing considering I opted for the 35 watt output.
Then the sickness set in, and after buying a MigSel lightbar through the site, I ordered a set of Hella Micro DE Fogs converted to HID by Les. When they arrived, I got them set up on the bike and this time, I mounted the ballasts onto the flat section of the fuel tank (after cleaning down throughly) with super strong velcro tabs. Thunder again came to the rescue and wired them in with a really neat install. The Hellas are independantly wired to a neat switch (again, supplied by Les) which ties in nicely with the look of the other oe switches.
To finish off the look, my bro-in-law made me nice aluminium cover plates to add to the overall effect.
To say I'm pleased is like saying 'do you like sex ?' !!
