Can some one advise me on the following, my iPad regularly freezes which seems to happen after a while of inactivity or when it's been switched on for a period of time. Basically I may decide to check my email or google something and all of a sudden the thing just freezes with the little indicator just merrily rotating forever. The only resolution seems to be a power off and back on.
The laptop and my iPhone seem unaffected and Apple have just swopped out the iPad but I'm still getting the problem.
I'm with Virgin Broadband. The iPad seems fine elsewhere and 3G works ok.
Any suggestions?

If you are outside your normal wifi area turn the wifi off to force it to revert to 3G. It's probably locked onto a wifi source and waiting for you to take action to connect.

It's not picking up a stray signal of another wifi is it? Check which one it has a tick next to under the wifi tab when it freezes....

When I first got my iPad. The default was to use the 3G signal which could be annoying as at home I would think its connected to the wifi. Using up all my minutes. This happend even after clicking the connect to known wifi. After the 2nd update this stopped happening and now the default is set to wifi. I find that it will always go to a known wifi connection even if I don't want it too. That's when you get the spinning wheel. To stop it you have to disconnect from wifi. Or forget the network. Both not ideal.
