Still just a pup I'm sure compared to others on the forum, but after 50K excellent miles on GS's now is a time for a change and I've been tangoed. Picked up a 2011 SMT with hard luggage and heated grips (some GS standards can't be dropped!) and though still in the honeymoon period I think we're going to get along just fine

Just about every write up is spot on in terms of how engaging they are and though already sure how much fun it will be in the Alps I've yet to stretch it's legs on a long run or really see how well it deals with really shitty weather when you're exhausted and just want to get home (that the GS eats for breakfast) so by no means a absolutle winner just yet.
I'll probably come back to a GS in due course but for the next 2-3+ years I'll mostly be wearing orange.
