After receiving a call last week, concerning a person who needed to empty their garage and would i be interested in getting rid of an old bike that's in the way. :D
Today i picked up the newest addition to the stable of old airhead GS's.

A 1990 round headlight GS, two previous owners, present owner since 1992. And not been used for the over 12 years, stored away in his garage... 31k miles.

Came with all the goodies, panniers, toolkit, old brochures and sales literature. Even a set of boxed and brand spanking new heated grips... And an old Honda EX650 generator was chucked in as well...

Set aside a day next week to get it up and running, MOT'd and then use it was my daily runaround. :bounce1

This morning i have mainly been salvaging the two fuel taps from a death by 13 year old syrup that was once petrol ...................................

Congrats on the fine... I recently got some 1989 100gs, 2 previous owners and approx 31k on the clock... Difference is I reckon I paid too much, and the work to get in on the road continues :mad:

Put up some pics, love to see it.:thumb

New oils and filters, cleaned out the tank and carb jets/float bowls.Added some new fuel, and pressed the starter button....... fired up almost instantly.
Won't rev above 2.5k revs, idles badly and the front tyre loses pressure over 48 years....

So next week it's a carb rebuild kit, remove front tyre and clean up the wheel rims, then MOT..
