well thats how i got, it.also has non original headlight&speedo.
it was also fitted with a 2-1 exhaust and honda silencer.
not sure of its history yet.mot and taxed
idea was not to get it too shiny
just started to look it over recently.
x reg may 1982 kickstart matching eng/frame no's.
9 owners from new.prev owner had it for nearly 3yrs.

Looks nice - It is amazing how the wheels on the R80G/S stay so good

I would try to change the exhaust system though

difficult as its welded on - but I only take Euros these days, so not much of a market in the UK

yes the surefoot was a good buy,came with the rest of the bike.
and it isnt welded to the bike.

Is it a unbolt, bolt on the mono back end type of mod? I guess the shock is "different" from what I've read.

Not really but it is possible without to much heartache.
Kenny and me have gone the other way, I have a paralever tank and seat on my mono. { 'Cos no room on normal seat for me and Barb }
Kenny has almost full GS PD fittings on his mono...........
