another reason for you miserable bastards to avoid switzerland

right something to be aware of about the laws of this fucked up place....

which ever road vehicle is the "stronger/ more likely" to inflict greater damge is responsible for any damage or accident even if no fault of your own.

my experience: some arsehole didnt have his dog on a lead, it ran straight out into the road from his gate, i had zero chance of avoiding it, my car was damaged, im responsible for all repairs and vet bills even though the law stipulates dogs must be kept on leads just because i am the stronger party.

found out guy at work was waiting at the traffic lights in his car for about 15 secs on a long straight road, cyclist barrels into the back of him - he is responsible and he should have anticipated the movements of the cyclist.

careful on your travels - if you hit anything keep going and dont stop.

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNTTTTTOOO

AND YES I AM PISSED OFF.

I can think of a good reason.....

You are there :JB:hide:JB

Sorry old chap.......but don't believe it a word of it. You may have the Brits fooled but as your next door neighbour well....................

i dont have a link, but I am 100% sure you know how to use google.ch ?

Art. 26 also has some significant bearing as it mentions vehicle users should anticipate the mistakes of others - re the cyclist

A good example is a guy riding on a mountain road at night, round the corner, roadworks with hardly any warning lights and no sign, he crashed and was charged and convicted for not being in control of his vehicle. fair enough i suppose.

The swiss have a saying "1 foot in the car is 1 foot in the prison" and I can see why.

Well, Swissrob, you started this thread of with:-

right something to be aware of about the laws of this fucked up place....AND YES I AM PISSED OFF.

later this:-

check out Art.56 then

and more recently this:-

Art. 26 also has some significant bearing as it mentions vehicle users should anticipate the mistakes of others - re the cyclist

So I think the onus is very much upon you to provide us with some supporting evidence of this i.e. at the very least a link. Yes, of course I can use Google.ch and this returned nothing otherwise I wouldn't be requesting links to the laws that appear to be messing with your head. If you have gleaned this info from other online websites or newspapers etc then kindly say so and provide these links.

Well to be fair to those of us that both visit and travel in Switzerland frequently, when things are stated that defy the rule of common sense, are somewhat derogatory towards the Swiss people or/and could be interpreted as what is essentially scare-mongering, then what Swissrob is stating should be supported by fact. This is something that the aforementioned appears reluctant to do for reasons best known to himself. And with that I'll let this matter rest as I don't really need to be convinced that what he is talking about is :blagblah:blagblah

I recall an old cartoon of motorcycles and their riders being put through a sheep-dip on the Swiss border. I always thought that it summed-up the Swiss attitude nicely.
