I picked up a 2000 1150 GS 6 weeks ago and have rattled up 4,000 miles so far, including the National Rally. Brilliant bike! Switched from a ZZR1200 so miss the speed/acceleration but nothing else. The GS is quicker point to point than pretty much anything out there.
I do a lot of Mway miles and want some decent protection. I've scanned the threads on screens and they seem to focus on buffetting and tall riders. My issue is with the pressure on my shoulders, is there a wider screen that will prevent this? I was thinking of trying a second hand (cheap) Adventure screen and trying the buffeting mods but am not clear if they reduce buffeting at the expense of increasing pressure on the rider. I'm just a regular build, 5'10 11 1/2 stone.

Hey, Skinny!

If you want to fit an Adv screen, don't forget you'll need Adv screen mounts - about £45 inc VAT.....

screen mods

hi mate go for a tobinator costs you 32 bangers for an alloy one.check out the screen threads.cheers.

Thanks for the welcome and the info. been checking a few other threads and at the moment looks like a Givi screen to start and then Tobinator to follow if not good enough.

Just off to the kitchen to find some lard...although I hear beer's good for puttin on weight :beerjug: :beerjug:

I have the Givi screen and Torbinators works well at illegal speeds on the M'way, I am 6'2" and a bag of lard and use an Arai Tour X .
