I recently bought a GS and it came fitted with an MRA screen with the spoiler thingy on the top. I am not fussed by this and would rather change it for a straight forward screen without bits bolted on the top.
On my twin cam I just fitted the GSA screen and job done! Is the same applicable to the LC can you just bolt on the GSA screen instead of the standard one?
If not then what screen would you recommend, seems from the other recent thread Puig are good and I've had them on other bikes.
And if anyone is interested in an MRA screen that's done sod all it will be coming up for sale or swaps.

Puig are good on the LC, I am very happy with mine

Yes, the GSA screen bolts straight on to the GS.:thumb

I have the same MRA screen that you have....strange, as I find it much better than the OEM screen on my GSA. Perhaps it's a height thing. :nenau

I just can't be arsed with the bit on top, either the looks or having to adjust it. It works ok but would just prefer a straight cut screen.

Thanks for replies, looks like I will be going for a GSA or Puig touring screen then...

I have just done 150 mls with my GSA and Puig tinted screen and it was superb, the GSA screen on its own is great but that extra width and height on the Puig screen is superb

even at night the led lights are so bright it just didn't make any difference with seeing through it

Have a look at the Givi 5108DT screen. I have it on my 2016 GS and its much better than the standard screen without being a barn door. :thumb

I fitted a screen from SlipScreens who sell on eBay, and was very pleased with it. As standard it is 440 mm tall but you can request +2" at the time of ordering, which I did, in which case it is about 490 mm tall. I found it was a big improvement over the standard screen on my GS, which is admittedly somewhat smaller than the standard GSA screen.

I have now fitted a Givi AirFlow secondary screen, using the SlipScreens screen as a base. The end result is not that different, except that the AirFlow seems to allow the screen to be lower for the same amount of noise reduction which means you are less likely to end up looking through the screen when adjusting it for minimum noise. Pic of the combo below:

Be interested to know if the SlipScreen is any wider than the standard GS screen?

I don't know the measurements of the standard GSA screen, but the SlipScreen ones are as follows. Note that all measurements are approximate and are taken as the shortest distance between the two sides taken across the rear of the screen, i.e. the tape measure does not not follow the surface curve.

Widest point at top: 450 mm
Widest point at bottom: 430 mm
Narrowest point (in the middle): 340 mm
Height: 440 mm / 490 mm
