ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION FROM A GPS NUMPTY

Turned on the jolly old 2610 today, a message flashed up stating that the mapping was over 12 months old and I need to update.

So what do I need to do now?

Nothing!

It's is just a trick to make you nervous. Garmin wants your business!

Updating the map from v6 to v7 will cost you $150. For most areas (Italy, Sweden, Norway and many other) there are no significant updates in the new version.

Update only when you think that you actually need the updates.

I've got v7 mapping and it told me too. I too ignored it and so far so good.
