Can anyone recommend a decent anti fog spray for my visor, there was some tested in a bike mag recently possibly in 'Superbike' but I can't remember the name of it:blast

I'm not a fan of the pinlock/fog city stuff so aren't interested in them

Why do you not like pinlock? I have one and found it to be completely anti fog.

Just bought the new Arai TourX with the pinlock and its great. Otherwise you can't beat fairy liquid.

washin up liquid smeared on inside of visor then polised off, works a treat:D

or is this too old school:eek:

Surprizingly effective...in daytime...
On a wet night it really dazzles the lights from oncoming traffic so not so good.

I use some spray I got free from BMW. Works ok for a while, but still not great.

washing up liquid works for me :thumb2 When diving a good spit in the mask works as well as "defog" but may be a bit messy on the bike

I tried the washing up liquid idea on my shark S500. Only problem, if you do have to open the visor at one point, the rain gets onto the inside of the visor and we know how that ends up! :eek

Pinlock for me too please!

When you get fed up with spraying stuff on your visor, that works for half an hour then is hopeless, you should look again... IMHO, pinlock is the only real solution. :thumb

anti fog

fog city and pinlock are good but expensive and quite fragile, ever tried to clean one without damaging them?
so for me it has to be the fogtech products,
i find them cost effective and they genuinly do what it says on the tin! also there is no vision distortion that you can get with some inserts esecially at night.

anti fog

the people at visorvision who do the fog tech stuff now do a "raincoat" used it today in the rain, absolutely brilliant!!
the water just beads and rolls away. no need to wipe anymore. i also use thier Vwipe sponge for cleaning my visor, again as with thier other products, it works!
i was in a rush for the visorvision products so instead of ordering on the net i rang them, the lovely lady at the other end could not of been more helpful and the stuff was on my doorstep the next morning.
INMHO great products, exellent service. which is rare these days so top marks, i wont use anything else from now on..:clap

Aunty Fog.

I've used the fogtech wipes and liquid and found them to be every bit as good as a pin lock insert. I've several helmets that I wear depending on distance, season, if I need audio or need a dark visor etc. To buy and fit a pinlock to each one would cost a fortune. Fogtech is easy to use and each wipe can be reused two or three times if you seal the packet.

I use Mer "Rain off" on the outside of the visor and it saves constantly having to wipe water off when it's raining. one treatment lasts for weeks.
Check out the V2 visor cleaning sponge. Dogs b***s for getting dead bugs off. Hope this helps your choice.

Ta ta.

I use something similar. It's called Mr Sheen. It comes with the added bonus that the Mr thinks I'm doing the dusting.

And as others have said, if you don't want the inside of your visor misting up then get a pinlock.
