Just a little thought going through my mind, not sure if this has been covered already, but given the tingle in the fingers, throttle only side on my news 1200GS 2017, I was thinking to try a pair of industrial anti vibration gloves, they are similar in looks to my summer gloves, but might just help with the tingle, any thoughts chime in, but dont shoot, it is only a thought.

Another one for grip buddies , That way you will still be wearing proper protective gloves. If the grip buddies dont work , it was cheaper .
last resort Decompression op on the affected hand . I had mine done ,never looked back.

I have KTM anti vibration risers on my 1190. I fitted them purely 'cos they were the right height for what I wanted but they definitely removed a bit of the buzziness form the bars as well as taking the 'sting' out of big hits so maybe something similar?

Rox do them for the GS I believe............. LINKY

i fitted grip buddies saturday and went out yesterday with them. Cant get use to the extra width on the bars. taking them off tonight again.

Do you not think they would too thick, bit like wearing thick winter gloves you lose some sensitivity
Vibes should go away with miles on the engine, or may be get the throttles reset/checked

Better Still go get some, try them and report back :) prob ideal for summer use in hot weather, with good wind flow, and some protection, more than some motorbike gloves.
As for the Grip Puppies or what ever they are called, thy do make the handle bars somewhat thicker, good for some and not for others.
Some people just add like the Rubber Cricket Bat Grips Sleeves, (Cut them down) they are only a few pounds.

Evotech make some great heavy bar end weights https://evotech-performance.com/products/bmw-r-1200-gs-handlebar-end-weights-2013

i cant believe i am reading this, probs best you just take the car

Come on fizzer its only a question, I can live with it, just looking for a simple solution, grip buddies, not for me, and I bet you use the car more than me, my car only sees the road when the snow and ice is out.

Bar Weights can help with Vibrations

Cheers for that like I said its just every hour or so of riding, I know it is surely a wrist position as it does not do it on the other side, that is why I was just looking at easing of the vibes a little, it is not just my 1200GS that does this even the Harley does it, maybe one day I will get the decompression op.

Interesting post. Still learning about the GS. I went out for a group ride on Saturday. As we were cracking on a reasonable pace for 90 mins around a lot of twisties, I was keeping it in quite high gear, probably spending a lot of time in the 4.5K range. Numbness started to creep in after an hour (on both sides, but more on the throttle side possibly), and I couldn't wait for the end point. I have grip buddies fitted already since I prefer a thicker grip. Possibly I was clenching the bars a bit but, still, surprised at the amount of vibes through the handlebars. Heavier bar weights may be the first point of call.

Motorcycle gloves should protect your hands from the elements and protect them in a crash. These mechanics gloves don't offer much protection from the elements, and in summer that's probably ok, but what will you do when you still have vibration in colder weather? The mechanical protection they offer is designed for static manual work, not high speed motorcycle accidents hence they are inappropriate for that purpose all year round (otherwise we could save a lot of money by buying Marigolds for wet weather riding)! I'm afraid that the solution to your issue lies elsewhere than non-motorcyle gloves. :)

Interesting.
I'm suffering from exactly the same thing on my 2017 GSA. It feels worse than on the 2015 GSA I recently chopped in. I can manage 40 mins before I'm having to use the cruise control to stretch my throttle hand.

Have tried Grip puppies before but I don't really get on with them. Was going to try the new Rox anti vibe bars that have recently been released. Anyone tried them?

Anti vibration gloves are considered useless in industry.

Broke my right arm in a bike crash in 92. On every bike I've ridden since then I've experienced varying degrees of numbness in my right hand. Bar end weights made a big difference on my FJ12. Tweaking my grip & hand position on my FireStorm did the trick. Grip buddies (actually NN's own equivalent IIUC - http://www.nippynormans.com/f650stf650csf650gsf650-dakar/handlebar-grip-covers-foam), and tweaking my grip works on my 1150GS.

I love the thicker grips. Other bike's normal grips feel weedy in comparison.
