This one is run by the LochLomond MCC

They will be heading up there soon but there is a 250 limit so anyone thinikng of attending please PM me for a contac number before you go so that You are not disappointed after that hoor of a wee road LOL (to quote unquote my pal frae Ayr!)

So is Anyone off here attending?

Buckles and myself are heading up from sunny South Yorkshire for the Antler. There are about 10 of us from down here going, but just us two are going on the GSers.
Having said that if its not totally pissing down on Thursday evening there was talk of Buck taking his Ural Combo and I may ride up on the Norton.
Breakdown trucks are so much more fun !!!!!!
Plan is Rotherham to Glasgow on Thursday evening then up to the Antler on Friday.

The letters MCC make me go cold :(

and w@nkers pops intae mind:thumb2
Bit rough and a prejudgement there Johnny

I was gonna try and explain but I think to be honest JOhnny you'd be better takin a run doon and seein for yourself!

It's actually a very civilized event No one gets aff thier heid on Jagermiester and smashes shower cubicles up

A few beers an a Cheileigh on the Saturday night you don;t get yer application for the use of the local community centre accepted since about 1974 without decent turn out and behaviour!

After me sayin all these nice things there'll be a feckin riot this year :blast :blast :blast

I used to be a member of Loch Lomond MCC from around 1976 to 1979 and ended up running their RAC/ACU Star Rider training Scheme. That brings back memories of some hair raising moments with the club scooter grounding down as it went around the school playground where we did the training. Was a good club and had a wide variety of events. We met weekly over at Balloch to talk bollocks.

Found a collage photos I put together for a club calendar one year. Shot of me on my Yamaha DT400 on a club hill climb at the Rest & Be Thankful. Another shot of I think it was Graeme Alexander at Knockhill, he owned the motorcycle shop in Helensburgh at the time. A young guy on a clun organised trials event and the last shot of a fun day where we had to complete a variety of tasks including the pillion guiding the blindfolded rider round a course.

Would have been nice to make it up to the rally but got too much on this weekend.

Been Nearly Every Year Sice Mid-Seventies!!

Great Rally - and what a road:D. Unfortunately we won't make it this year:( and it doesn't look like we'll be there next year either:eek:
Strange thing about events like the Antler is it's the same people attending now that were there in the Seventies - only with grey hair - or no hair now:rob

Cheers.............................Grizzly:beer:

I was gonna have my Ass safely tucked up in bed by now

BUT

My rear subframe is cracking Too much weight in pannier or top box??

Or 2 frisky landings of crests recently

Now repaired stronger than before and doesn;t interfere with the seat
