Just like to get owners input on what looks a fun bike.

I considered a GS12 before but my riding doesn't really justify such a big trailie, as the miles I'm likely to cover aren't going to be that many.

Just want a fun bike to have a blast at the weekend and go to work on every now and again.

Any owners wishing to share their thoughts?

Thanks for reading,
Neil.

i had one.....

....as a loan bike while mine was getting serviced.

personally its not for me as i quite often do long trips (a 400-mile weekend commute home) and its fuel range and uncomfortable seat make it a poor choice for me

however, for the use you're describing it could fit the bill. it seemed to have a bit more get-up-and-go than the dakar, and will easily pop wheelies in the first two or three gears. handling is also good, feels like a proper hooligan of a bike

test ride one and see what you think

Thanks for the feed back Jim. Thats more or less what I want. Just a blast at the week end, as my mileage doesn't warrant a 'big' trailie to be honest. I'm trying to arrange a test ride in the next few weeks with my local dealer.

Also seen a few on the used BMW website a year old and around 4k, so thats a saving of about 2k on list....

Anyone have a clue if someone does after market bits for these? Luggage bag, flyscreen etc, maybe a comfier seat......

Cheers, Neil.

Hi,
I have a Xmoto.
It's a good bike but the seat will be uncomfortable for the first month/
untill your arse gets used to it.
Mines an 07 plate and it's just covered 20k,
It's back at BMW at the moment as the CAT has fallen apart in the
silencer, the fuel light has stopped working and some small bits of metal
came out when i changed the oil.
All being sorted under warranty( a month left).

The six million dollar question.
Would I buy another one ?

Yes I would .

Hope that helps.

Bez.

How about a 2008 08 reg X-moto approx 200 miles as new £3650 ?
PM if interested.

Thanks,
But I have my eye on a bike from a dealer.

Also thanks to Bez for the information. Glad to hear that you enjoy the bike. Although I won't be doing the mileage you have done, I intend ti have 'fun' on it, quick blasts, to work and back etc.

Cheers, Neil.
