Direct Line have been good for me recently, and they're not on the comparison sites... :thumby:

My GF has a speeding fine, and it loaded my premium (on the car we both drive) - and Direct Line were cheapest I could find

The only way to find insurance that suits YOUR circumstances (as opposed to someone else’s) is to get as many alternatives as YOU can.

For every ‘I found XYZ best” you’ll find ten more saying “But I found ABC best”. There is a very simple reason for that.

Well it has proved to be well worth trying more than 1 price comparison site, chosen a policy that was £200 cheaper than renewal and was £50 cheaper on Compare the Market over Go Compare and Money Supermarket.
Many thanks to all that contributed.

Money supermarket or Go compare gave you 20 quid of shell vouchers via their reward scheme.
I just exchanged for diesel for the car.
Also did the house insurance so had 40 pounds worth.
Brings the cost down slightly.
