With the wetter weather upon us for another season, I'm looking to put some road tyres on the 1150. As I won't be offroading for several months due to work and weather, I figured I'd look for some purely road based tyres with decent wet weather performance.

Conti Road Attacks seem to be well thought of from reviews I've read, are there any others I should be looking at as well?

Thanks.

I have been using Michelin Road Pilot 2's.

Great grip and life, responsive, good 'road feel', smooth when flicking.

Gonna try an 020 on the front next time around.

Cheers
Steve

I've just put road attacks on my GSX1400, and they are superb, especially after the 020's i previously had. Won't be using those again after a BIG moment on a bend:eek:
Was gonna try them on my 1200 GSA aswell cos at the moment its wearing the Trail Attacks, which have been great (7500 from rear), but thought the Road Attacks might be even better.
Not sure what to do, but a big thumbs up for grip on the Road Attacks:thumb2

Hi Mate, had 020's on my GSX1400, and they were great when kept warm. Had a BIG moment on a bend, riding quite gently, on a damp day.
On the GSX forums, the guys in Australia absolutely love them, so i think their performance is heat related. I've found them to be ranging from awesome to bloody shocking, weather depending!!

020/021 combination works very well on the GS. I've had these for the past 4 years.

But if all you want is tyres to get you through the winter then the best bet in my opinion are Tourances.

The Conti road attack 2 rears are available with the fronts due any time now, they are suppost to be far better then the old ones.
The Bridgestone bt 020's were far better than the bt021, it didnt take long for bridgestone to replace the 021 with the 023 which by all acounts are the dogs, but they still only do the 020 front in 110/80r19.
The Dunlop Roadsmarts are hugly popular aswell

Just had Road Attack " 2 fitted by Buckley Tyres, had been on Road Attack 1 before, ~~ Awesome tyres, no problems, so why change, ride year round through.

I had good experiences on my Gs 1150 with bridgestone 020, and Conti trail Attacks. On my Stelvio I've fitted Conti Road Attacks which were cheap and grip well, too early to comment on wear just yet. I have Dunlop roadsmarts on my Tiger 1050, which feel even better, but were more expensive than the Contis, they seem to wear pretty well, and give good grip in wet or dry conditions.

I have Metz Z6's on at the moment, wanted Road Attacks again, none in town, the Z6's were the only road tyres available at the time, the cops are using them on their RTP's over here, they seem to hang on ok, once you get over the price shock A$ 550 fitted :(

I've had Tourance's, road attacks, trail attacks and Pilot Road (not the 2s) on my 1150....recently fitted new Dunlop Roadsmart...beats the lot hands down. Done 3000 miles, quiet, great grip (in the wet too), great turn in, little tramlining and seem to be holding up well....can't recomend them highly enough.

Ok, bit the bullet and put Road Attack 2's on the GSA12. Grip levels and feel are awesome, the same as on my GSX 14. Obviously can't comment on wear yet, but first impressions are very good.
