(Bmw r80 1978 ATE swinging )My bleed nipple was on tighter than a tight thing holding onto something very tightly , tried heat, wd40, more heat, soaking in wd but net result was the feckin thing snapped off - I drilled a pilot hole and tried an unwinder tool but that wouldn't shift it either so I drilled bigger and bigger until 8.2mm and all that was left was the threads and I got it all out -
On one of the smaller bits I drilled too far down - didn't think it would matter as the 'collar' was still big enough to seat the nipple.
Big doos and little doos it doesn't leak fluid but leaks air .
I think the threads are too shallow now and the nipple is not a tight fit.
What are my options?? Second hand caliper?? ( can't afford new) drill bigger hole and use bigger nipple? Helicoil type thread repair?
Or petrol and matches???
