any good (conti road attack tyers)

Love Road Attacks. Took 'em around Cadwell on a Boxercup and they took it very well. 5000 miles from the rear compared to 6k from Michelin RP2's but close to half the price.

I was after some for the GS and opted for Trail Attacks. done around 2k so far, no squaring, no shredding, no stepping out and certainly no chicken strips.

Held up well after I'd been told I'd never get my knee down on it. He was right, I'd the need legs of a giraffe.

I fitted a pair of road attacks to my RT11 this year, then took it 1600 miles to Switzerland and back, with a mix of dry motorway and mountain roads and torrential rain on both, at no time did they step out or give concern, they "roll over" into turns very nicely and show no signs of squaring off at this stage, previously I have sworn by BT020's but these may be even better.

Hmm. I keep wondering about using different tyres to Tourances.

But... I fitted a pair on my bike in July 2008 then went 11k to Siberia and back. I changed them at 16,000 miles in Spring 2009. I was very happy with their performance all through those miles. I'm pretty sure I've not had a pair of Tourances that haven't done at least 10k miles and I've done all of my last 100k miles on Tourances.

I honestly worry that another pair of tyres wouldn't last as long and if they did but felt awful, well 10k+ is a fair while to wait to get rid.

I agree....but very sticky

Road Attack rear, tread will 'square'. I rarely use dual carriageways and corner with enthusiasm, but still they 'square'. The other day, I had the mis-fortune to use the A1M for about 10 miles (80mph ish) and when I looked at the rear tyre, it was starting to shred small pieces from the central tread area. I was not carrying a passenger or any load and the tyre pressures were OK.

I too found that despite less than half my journey each day being on dual carrigeways and the rest on the twisties road attacks do square badly.....but boy are they good in the bends and ive never had any major slips in the wet.

Trail Attacks need a bit of warming up,but a good wearing tyre as shown after a 2.4k trip to Spain /Portugal two up plus luggage.

Excellent tyres, instant warm up never any problems in the wet other than a little squirm on overbanding and show me a tyre that doesn't do that!

They happily go from edge to edge, great grip wet or dry loaded or unloaded.
