... who would be happy for me to check a stored fault code? Got a prob with my ABS on my 02 1150RS. (I'm presuming I'm right in thinking it will show me this?)

if the bike has the 3 pin diagnostic connector you can use a flash reader with will flash your error code via a wee led (item number 95540) https://www.motobins.co.uk/bmw-parts.php?model=R850 R1100 R1150&bikeref=R1150GS , I have one and use it on the R1100GS

Thanks chap, it's the round plug on top of the air filter so think it's prob different? I'm away from the bike for a while but can check on my return. Ta for the info.
