With MrsDave now getting back on her own bike, we are coming back to having to work out how we can talk to each other.. or more correctly me shouting left and right at her :comfort

So far, I've got an Autocom Logic 1, which we have used when MrsDave was pillion on my bike, which worked well and I'm quite happy with it etc..

From MrsDave point of view, we would like a radio that she can use from batteries just to get us up and running, but longer term have it powered from the bike.. and ideally it voc so she doesn't have to worry about pressing buttons etc.. and double ideally it would have the connection to the mic/speakers that would allow her to connect straight back into the autocom should she be pillion on my bike (guessing this prob puts me to a autocom system).. She's not too worried about being able to connect her phone, ipod, sat nav etc etc etc into it.. as given her left and right, it'll be me that has the sat nav, so therefore can then tell her the directions..

As for me I'm looking for a radio that'll connect to my autocom.. that can do battery power for the getting it going quickly.. but longer term go bike powered..

Any ideas, general pointers etc..

Cheers all

Dave (thinking that talking to his mrs is about to become expensive)

I've had an autocom on the GS since I got it, absolutely great, no problems at all. A mate at work swears by the Cardo Scala Q2 system, which he uses to talk to his mate while riding. I bought a set for Denise and I last week so that we can use them for both pillion riding, and off road riding where we don't have to worry about having leads, power supply etc.
Absolutely brilliant. We did 8 hours trail riding at the weekend with them on and they were a revelation. No shouting instructions from the other side of a tricky section, no having to take the helmets off for a chat or to discus lines.
My autocom will soon be up for sale, and another set of brackets for the road helmets is on order. :thumb
