Any mechanics near Galway? RT FD leak

Anyone know of any mechanics in or near Galway?

I'm with a group on a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way and one of the bikes - a 2005 R1200RT - has started leaking oil from the FD. It's probably more than a light misting, the bike hasn't been serviced recently and as its not happened before we don't think it was overfilled at the last service and it's not been anywhere near hot enough for it to just be caused by overheating.

We're heading north following (roughly) the Wild Atlantic Way, so any suggestions welcome :)
 
Where is it? On the outside of the FD? Could be the outer seal.
Any movement in the wheel?
Has it ABS? The O ring where the sensor fits into the FD can fail.
I'm sure others will be along shortly.
 
It's the outer seal. I wouldn't worry it will get you home.
Sometimes running a feeler gauge around the seal lip cleans out any crud.
If you need help, I am on the WAW near Oranmore and I do have a new replacement seal.
 
I'm on your way north, in sligo, if that's the way your going? I have a car dealership but we are pretty handy when it comes to Bmw bikes too!! Happy to have a look if you are going this way.
 
Thanks very much all, especially to patzx12 and macker1974 for your offers. It's not my bike so I'm not sure whether it's got ABS or not. The rider in question is going to monitor it closely and if it looks like anything more than the seal get it dealt with or recovered. The general consensus here is it's the outer seal and not an immediate concern. If we get up tomorrow and find a large pool of oil over the back tyre we may need to have a rethink!

While I was posting a very helpful cyclist who happens to be a local BMW rider stopped to look at our bikes and put the rider in touch with a mechanic, who he's phoned and discussed it with. The opinion was it's not critical and he should be ok for the rest of the trip :)

So thanks again everyone, and hopefully we can continue enjoying the wonderful hospitality and roads Ireland has to offer, not to mention the odd drink or two :beer:
